HOTELS IN TUCSON
I have the Windmill Suites up on the map for now, but I keep changing my mind! :)
THIS is the most fabulous bed and breakfast. Casa Tierra. Perhaps a little expensive though - and then there are the critters .......
And this one was almost already booked, til I had slight 2nd thoughts. Do we really need a resort? We're hardly going to be there! Westward Look Resort. It's very reasonably priced though. (I think it's between this one and the Windmill)
Am completely stuck on this - can't make a decision.

A Desert Oasis Comes to Life
In creating The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa, we looked to nature as our source of inspiration. With the rugged beauty of the Santa Catalina Mountains as a backdrop, we didn't have to look far. The suprisingly lush High Sonoran Desert plays host to giant saguaro cactus, rare native succulents, wild flowers and song birds.
In fact, everyone who visits La Paloma seem inspired by its high desert difference. Nestled in the foothills and surrounded by desert gardens, a waterfall and natural rock formations, this extraordinary environment is a natural catalyst to wonderful vacations and successful meetings.
Rooms And Suites As Colorful And Spacious As The Desert Itself
The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa's newly enhanced guestroom is designed to bring a sense of the wide-open Sonoran Desert indoors.
A warm, golden color scheme draws the Arizona sunshine into the room and creates an open, airy feel. At 475-square feet, La Paloma's guestroom is the largest resort guestroom in Tucson and features inviting outdoor space with either a private patio or balcony. The addition of crown moldings provide architectural interest to the ceilings, while tile adds flair to the foyer, hall and bathroom. Granite countertops, new dual sinks, mirror and vanity create an air of sophistication in the spacious bathroom that offers a separate tub and shower. Elegant hardwood, cherry-finished furnishings with mission-style accents, complemented by new wall coverings and wall art in a soft palette of colors, complete the new look.
Lighting has also been enhanced in the guestroom and bathroom to create optimum illumination in both areas. In addition to the lighting enhancements, two phone lines in each guestroom enable guests to work on-line while using the telephone, providing the perfect environment for mixing business with pleasure. Overall, the newly designed guestroom features an understated, casual elegance beautifully blended with state-of-the-art technology.

And there is always Cactus Cove, with its outdoor showers! Unfortunately, I think they only take 2 to a room ($175 - £108) "Our Suites have private baths and entrances, Jacuzzis, 2 private outdoor courtyards, and one with an outdoor shower".
